Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Overview
This policy sets out the terms relating to payments, cancellations, and refunds for services provided by RSVPmadeSimple. Please read it carefully before you book. It applies once your booking is confirmed, and it sits alongside your Client Agreement, which you accept in your customer portal before your first payment.

2. What it costs and when you pay
Your wedding website costs £599 in total. That is the whole price. There is one service and there are no packages or tiers to choose between.
You choose how to pay the £599. You may settle it in full in a single payment, or spread it: £199 when you accept your finished website, followed by exactly four monthly payments of £100. Both routes come to £599 and nothing else is charged at any point.
- Nothing is charged upfront. We build your website first. Nothing is charged until you have seen your finished website and confirmed that you are happy with it.
- Spreading the cost costs nothing extra. The £599 total is the same whichever route you take. The £199 initial payment and the four monthly payments of £100 carry no surcharge, no interest, and no credit check.
- This is not a subscription. If you spread the £599, it is settled by the £199 initial payment and the four monthly payments of £100. After the fourth monthly payment there is nothing further to pay. Nothing renews and nothing continues automatically.
Your website goes live once your first payment has been received and cleared, whether that is the full £599 or the £199 that begins the schedule — or, if you asked us to wait until your 14-day cancellation period has passed, on the day after it ends. Where the cost is spread, the four remaining monthly payments are then taken monthly until the £599 total is settled.
3. Before you pay anything
We do not require any payment to begin your project. We will first create your website so you can review the design, content, and overall look before making any payment.
If you decide not to proceed before making your first payment, you are free to cancel with no charge.
4. Cancellation by the customer
If you wish to cancel, please tell us as soon as possible by email at hello@rsvpmadesimple.co.uk, or use our cancellation form. You do not have to use the form; any clear message telling us you are cancelling is enough.

- Before you make your first payment: you are free to stop at any time, for any reason. Nothing is charged.
- Within 14 days of your booking: if you are a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days after the day your booking is confirmed (the day we receive your first payment), without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. To cancel in time, it is enough to send your message before the 14 days are up.
- If you asked us to start straight away: at checkout you choose when we start: straight away, or once your 14 days have passed. We only start work during those 14 days if you ask us to, by choosing “Start straight away”. If you ask us to start straight away and then cancel within the 14 days, you pay only for the work we have actually done for you from when you asked us to start until you tell us you are cancelling. We work this out as a share of the £599 price, by comparing the work done in that time with everything your booking includes — designing and building your website, setting up your RSVPs, publishing it at its own address, registering your domain where included, and hosting it with your portal for your service period. Work done before your booking was confirmed, such as preparing your preview, is not charged for. We keep a dated record of the work and will send you the breakdown before we keep or ask for any money. We refund the rest of what you have paid within 14 days of you telling us, to the card you paid with. If the amount for the work done is more than you have paid so far, we will only ask you for the difference after sending you the breakdown, and never more than £599 in total. Asking us to start straight away does not take away your right to cancel.
- If you asked us to wait: we will not publish your website or start chargeable work until your 14 days have passed, and if you cancel before then we will refund everything you have paid.
- How you are refunded: if you cancel within the 14 days, we refund you within 14 days of the day you tell us, using the payment method you used, and there is no fee for this.
- After the 14 days: you can still ask to end your booking by contacting us.
- If your website has already gone live, the £599 price remains payable, including any monthly payments still to come if you are spreading the cost, because the design, build and launch of your website — the main part of what you pay for — has been provided. Your website, domain and portal stay available for the rest of your service period unless you ask us to take them down sooner.
- If your website has not yet gone live, we will charge only for the work we have done, in proportion to the full service, worked out in the same way as in clause 6.2 of the Client Agreement (see “If you asked us to start straight away” above), and refund or cancel the rest.
5. Cancellation by RSVPmadeSimple
We reserve the right to cancel a project in exceptional circumstances, for example if we are unable to complete the work due to an event outside our reasonable control. In such cases, we will provide a full refund of any amounts paid that relate to work not yet completed, and no further monthly payments will be taken.
6. Hosting extensions
Hosting extensions can be bought through your customer portal: 12 more months for £79 or 24 more months for £139. The length, price and conditions are shown in the portal before you buy. Each extension is added to the end of your hosting period, after any extension you already have, is charged once, and does not renew.
You can cancel a hosting extension within 14 days of buying it for a full refund. After that, until the extension starts (when your current period ends), you can still cancel it and we will refund it in full. Once it has started it is not refundable, except where your statutory rights give you a refund (see section 8).
To cancel an extension, use "Cancel this extension" in your customer portal, or email us at hello@rsvpmadesimple.co.uk. We refund you within 14 days of hearing from you, to the card you paid with.
7. Domain registration
Registration of your custom domain is included in the £599 total price. Domain names are reserved with third-party registrars, and once your domain is registered its cost cannot be recovered. If you cancel after the 14-day cancellation period, that registration is a cost we have already incurred (see section 4). If you cancel within the 14 days, the rules in section 4 apply. Either way, the domain can be transferred to you.
8. Consumer rights
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and other applicable UK consumer protection legislation are not affected by this policy. If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days after the day your booking is confirmed under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, as explained in section 4. If you asked us to start work within those 14 days and then cancel, you pay only for the work we have actually done from when you asked us to start until you tell us you are cancelling, worked out as a share of the £599 price as explained in section 4, and the rest is refunded. If you asked us to wait until the 14 days have passed and cancel before then, everything you have paid is refunded. You can use our model cancellation form, but you do not have to.

9. How to request a refund
To cancel, request a refund or discuss cancellation, please contact us at hello@rsvpmadesimple.co.uk. Please include your name and, if you have one, your order reference. If you cancel within the 14-day cancellation period, or cancel an extension within 14 days of buying it or before it starts, we refund you within 14 days of the day you tell us, to the payment method you used. For anything else, we will respond within 5 working days, and approved refunds will be issued to your original payment method within 10 working days.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent update. The policy in effect at the time of your order applies to your purchase.
