How to get here
Fly to Naples (NAP)
Thursday or Friday if you can
Naples International is the closest sensible airport, about ninety minutes from Positano by road. Direct flights from most major UK and European hubs. Rome (FCO) is also workable, but adds two to three hours of travel.
Naples to Positano
About 1.5 hours
Pre-book a driver (see the recommendations below), or take the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento and then a SITA bus. If you like the sea, the ferry from Naples to Positano runs seasonally and is honestly the most beautiful arrival.
The last bit
A short taxi
Villa Serena is a five-minute drive from the town centre, up a set of switchbacks. The taxi rank at the ferry pier will know exactly where you're going. Say «Villa Serena, Nocelle».

A four-room boutique inn with sea-facing balconies and a small chef's kitchen. Ask for the corner room with the copper bath. Not for everyone, but if you like a proper view, this is the one.

A cluster of small apartments in the village up the road from us. Great if you're travelling as a couple or a small group. Bring hiking shoes: the walk down is spectacular, the walk up less so.

Little bits of advice that our first Positano trip taught us.
The weather
Warm days (25–27°C), cool evenings, some sea breeze. Bring a linen jacket or a wrap for the ceremony.
Underfoot
Stone terraces, some steps, and grass in the grove. Heels are welcome; heels-you-can-actually-walk-in are wiser.
Cash & cards
Cards are fine almost everywhere. Keep €50 in cash for taxis and small shops in the villages.
Signal at the villa
Wi-Fi is decent, mobile signal is patchy. If you need to be reachable, tell us and we'll help.
What to pack
Swimwear if you'd like an afternoon dip. Comfortable clothes for the Friday welcome drinks. Sunglasses. Curiosity.
The rest
You do not have to plan anything else. Sofia, our planner, is around all weekend and will look after everyone.
Drivers we trust
Vetted locally. Tell them you're coming for the Vasquez-Alighieri wedding and they'll look after you.
